OK so my ex- boyfriend is 25 and I’m 21. We dated for a month then HE ended it saying that he’s “busy”. Our relationship was very innocent, it never went past kissing cuz he knew that I wanna save myself for marriage. Neways, we both go to the same university, I’m an undergrad while he’s a grad student. I was crossing the street and he called my name and we talked for a bit. At the end of the conversation he asked me “to give him a shoutout if I ever wanted to “hang out”. I said said bye & walked away. That was a month ago & he never brought it up even on msn, thus I thought it was just fake. Today I got the biggest surprise, I logged on msn and he said hi right away. He asked me my plans for the winter break & I did, then he told me that he’s gonna have a long break & travel. Then he said “we should meet up”. I said sure & he asked me when was good for ME, I did, & now we’re meeting up next week.He said he’ll call me the night before. WHY does he wanna see me now?
Is this meeting just a “hang out” to him or does he wanna try to get back?

I would like to take a cruise (another) and someone told me I could apply for a travel agent license and recieve deep discounts. I need to know
a) can i just apply for a license?
b) how much is it?
c) how to book cruise with a license number.

Also if anyone knows any other way besides the typical expedia; travelocity and such..
Any suggestion would be welcome.I am a past cruiser i know i can get that.

The facts as I have seen them, don’t support your charge. Since you have perhaps never sacrificed to be in public service or to work for someone who is doing good, you might be forgiven for your failure to understand. That’s Okay. This is America and you can vote for anyone you like.

Expedia is good but check sidestep.com. It will compare the discounted sites as well as the individual airlines site and tell you who has the best deal.

I am from the west coast. My boyfriend and I are trying to make a trip to NYC the week before christmas. It is going to cost a lot regardless because we are flying so far away. Even so, are there any tips or things we may not know about that can help save money?

I’m not eureopean but I will give You an answer from SW Idaho USA for a comparison to any other Euro answers. There is NO public transport from my home to work. I drive a 30 year old car 52 miles round trip daily to work and back. It’s a ’78 Toyota Celica GT and it gets around 23 mpg. I burn 13 gal a week. I can buy many truckloads of gasoline for the difference in cost for a new 35mpg car at ,000 to replace the Celica I bought used 4 yrs ago for 0. Economy of a car does NOT depend on gasoline mileage alone. Very few of todays 35mpg cars will last 30 years. A car is not only economy in my life. It must also be a little nasty. I don’t really like any small cars but I particulary HATE wimpy economy only cars like the Prius that have no more acceleration than a fully loaded concrete mixer. I’m old school, got my driving liscence in 1963. In my mind the best economy is to get from point A to Point B the fastest. My time is worth 5 times the price of gasoline. Compared to the cars I owned and drove as a young man the Toyota Celica I drive now is pretty much a golf cart. Yet at 30 years old it does the job and outruns cars, suv’s and pickup trucks both gas and diesel at up to 40 times it’s purchase price. In My mind THAT’S Economy. I drive it instead of a 37 year old one ton Chevy pickup truck that gets 14 MPG Theres NASTY…….Not economical but if cost was no option I would choose to drive it. for me it’s not about transportation it’s about enjoyment.

Unfortunately, many in Lansing are only willing to pay lip service to the problem rather than finding solutions to it. I choose to focus on the concerns of the taxpayers from the 74th district and their agenda, rather than the Lansing agenda of raising taxes and partisan bickering. For this reason, I am happy to join other Republicans in support of the Taxpayer’s Agenda. An important part of this Taxpayer’s Agenda is the creation of several task forces to address the issues that many in Lansing choose to neglect.

I am excited to be a member of the Border Security and Immigration Reform, which focuses on homeland security and seeks ways to limit the negative impact that illegal immigration has on Michigan’s economy.

Taxpayer dollars are being used to subsidize illegal aliens in this state, and state programs are the vehicle that allows this. Medicaid costs have been increasing by millions annually, and the last thing we need is the added cost of care for people who should not be here in the first place.

Other Midwest states have gone to a system where a Medicaid applicant must prove their citizenship before receiving assistance. After doing so, those states have seen a 5 percent reduction in Medicaid expenditures. If Michigan were to implement a similar program and achieve similar results, we could see a drastic decrease in Medicaid spending totaling roughly 5 million.

Illegal immigrants who go to hospitals for emergency care rarely have the means to pay for their care. However, due to current laws, hospitals are not allowed to deny treatment based on inability to pay. As a result, the hospitals must count this “free” care as a loss, therefore passing the cost of this care onto other paying customers.

Spectrum Health incurred charges of more than 0,000 last year alone on illegal immigrant health care, and they expect that figure to increase this year.

Michigan’s employment environment is also polluted with illegal immigrants. In fact, there have been several instances in which new projects have been hijacked by illegal immigrant workers. In the Thumb area of Michigan, the Harvest Wind Farm project so highly touted by Gov. Jennifer Granholm was being staffed by a contractor who hires not only out of state workers, but employs illegal immigrants as well.

After first chiding the Republicans for forming the Immigration and Homeland Security Task Force, the Democrats have recently introduced legislation embracing some of our ideas. However, their half-hearted attempts don’t stand up under scrutiny.

Although they say they want to punish employers who hire illegals, they would only do so by canceling state contracts with these companies and requiring them to pay back incentives. No other punitive action would be taken. This is unacceptable.

The latest task force hearing held in Jenison focused on homeland security threats that Michigan is now plagued with because of illegal immigration. Testimony included representatives from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Ottawa County Sheriffs, 9/11 families for a more secure America; and Jon DeWitte from Congressman Peter Hoekstra’s office.

The discussion centered on of law enforcement personnel, security officials and other concerned community members. We were successful in our mission to conduct a frank discussion in ways that we can end the unnecessary burden of illegal immigrants on our state.

As my colleagues and I travel the state we look forward to hearing ideas from a diverse background.

I think it’s funny to watch people blame illegals. when in fact they get very little money if any.

one you actually have to deal with homeland security you’ll see it differently.
