Question by Jessica: What Weather Conditions Can Cancel or Delay International Air flight Traveling?
I am traveling from Poland to America to get back home after 2 months of visiting. I was wondering was weather could cancel or delay International air flight traveling. Also does scattered Thunderstorms cause delay or canceling, or isolated? Please help, and note this is summer traveling so no blizzards blah blah blah.

Remember the volcano. That halt international flight for awhile.
What do you think? Answer below!
Normally if there are thunderstorms at the airport, that can prevent planes from taking off or landing. If there are thunderstorms along the route you are traveling, you are almost always at a higher altitude than the thunderstorms, and when flying at lower altitiudes can fly around the thunderstorms if necessary.
A severe weather condition, like Tornado, severe thunderstorms may would delay any flight not just international, but it won’t cancel it, I don’t think an isolated or scattered thunderstorms would be a problem
Hi Jessica,
The volcano has not had an effect for a while. Scattered thunderstorms may delay a flight from taking off but most likely it will not cause it to cancel. Another possibility of delaying a flight is fog or high winds, especially if they are cross-winds.
