Travel agency or Atlantis website for planning a trip?

Question by Kashi: Travel agency or Atlantis website for planning a trip?
My family wants to go to Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas next June. Does anyone have an opinion on if it’s best to use a travel agency or use the Atlantis website for hotel and plane reservations? Why or why not?
We already have money to pay for the trip. So far the plane rates were better on the Atlantis website.

Do your research on the Atlantis website but use a reputable travel agency to book the trip. On the website you have to pay up front when you book, with a travel agency you can put down a deposit and you pay the balance either in several installments or 60 days before the trip. My travel agency allows this.

It nice to have some one in person to talk to if you have any problems or questions.

    Some Travel Agnecy can get better rates then what is offerd by Atlantis because Travel agents work with many diffrent venders.

    If you wish send me a message and i will work to get you diffrent rates for your trip

    I always have my clients look at my rates and the hotels rates as some times im cheaper some times i am not…

    I am leaving for the Alantis in 2 months and I just organized the trip myself. I am using us airways and you can go right on the alantis website and make reversations there are 3 or 4 different hotels to chose from the main hotel ( I forget its name) buts its right in the center of the island. But the main one is the cheapest but not the best. I am staying at the reef hotel, its right on the beach, and you can still Access all the fun alantis has to offer. We have gotten a 2 bedroom suite for a week, its expensive but it will be worth it.

    We used Orbitz and I DONOT suggest that to anyone! This is what happened to us. We were flying to RIu Paradise island about 2 weeks ago for out wedding on September 25 and we had to be there that Monday before so we could get our marriage license. Well Oribitz put us on the VERY LAST seat of the plane and gave us 25 minutes to catch another flight in a DIFFERENT terminal! Yeah we missed it! Then we were put on stand by so we tried to call Orbitz and have them book a flight for us that day and they said it wasn’t there fault! So we were stuck in Ft. Lauderdale airport for 6 hours! Needless to say wasted a whole day on Tuesday getting a license! I absolutely will NEVER use ORBITZ AGAIN! Trust me I would rather pay more then another site then use them!
