Question by Brandee V: Questions about “All-inclusive trips” to Mexico from Canada???? Please REspond!!!?
We live in Alberta, Canada and are looking to go somewhere cheap and hot for a week all inclusive around beginning of Feb. I have checked out Expedia.ca (which seems to have the cheapest)) and found lots of trips around 00 for two people all inclusive at about a 3star hotel. Is this a good deal? Or is it better to just book flight and then get hotel and all inclusive option once we arrive. Is internet the best place to book or would a travel agent be better? Any advice or websites I should check out….??? Please help>

$2200 for two at that time of year is reasonable … but if you wanted to wait until early April, the same trip would run you about $1100.

Expedia is okay … but you might get better deals looking at actual airlines (American, USAir, Continental) where they “package” deals.

Of course, once you have the internet price, go visit your local travel agent and lay it in front of them … they might be able to arrange something just as cheap (or maybe better, in terms of either cost or amenities). It never hurts to ask!

And since you’re flying … pay attention to the flight plan. Most flights from Canada to Mexico for the “all inclusives” have a stop in the US somewhere … which means you WILL require a passport to board the plane (at either the Canada or Mexico end).

There are 2 good websites that are for all inclusive Canadian travel-
    1. canadatravels.ca
    2. sunquest.ca

Both websites have a section for Hot Deals or last minute deals which might get you a great deal.

I have travelled using both of these services, and have never stayed at a hotel less then 4 stars.

    Happy Searching.

Try Don @ Ixtapa Travel in Sasktoon (306) 664-3233. He is a great travel agent and goes way way out of his way to accomodate you and always looks for the best price. We and our other famliy members (who also live in Alberta) always use him. You can’t go wrong, and he uses wholesalers (I think) to always get the best price. The best part is; he is a real travel agent and no computer hassels.

We did one week all inclusive at a 4 star hotel in Puerta Vallarta for $2300 in May/06. Westjet direct from Edmonton. It was a great trip, coordinated by Uniglobe Travel.

i just returned from cancun with my wife. we booked through http://www.travelcuse.com and got a great deal. the site is an aggregator so it takes all the deals from travelocity, apple, hotels.com, etc. and presents you with the best deals. highly recommended!
