Expedia and orbitz are always try to provide best deals to the travel agents and direct customers.

Like Expedia, lot of many other travel companies which always try to provide cheap travel / air fare deals to the travel agents and customers. some of the websites are -

www.farebuzz.com
www.tui.com
www.travelocity.com and many more.

My advice to all always compare rates before buy.

    I avoid all internet agencies as they tend not to help after buying a flight. Should something happen and you need to speak to the airline, they most probably will need to tell you that you have to call the airline. If your name is not on the passenger list at the airport it’s useless calling the airline. So take my advice and buy directly with the airline (whichever it is). Have you ever tried to get in contact with such agencies’ call centres? Calls are very expensive and many times they put you on hold and you end up paying what you saved from your ticket in your tel bill. Try to be flexible with your dates and you can find somethong cheper even thru the airline. Of course not all internet agencies are bad but I avoid them as a matter of fact. Heard too many complaints abt some of them :)

    Because online travel websites (like Expedia, Orbitz, etc.) have set prices based on contracts with their suppliers (airlines, hotels, car rentals, etc) Agents are “quoted” prices from the vendors and then they “add” a commission % as they see appropriate for their services and then give that price to the customer. Prices will vary from Agent to Agent based on their desired commission %.
    The other important thing to remember is that most of the “major” travel sites are owned by the same company (not much difference between prices). If these are the “only” sites you look at, then you may not realize that there are other prices available for those same flights, etc.
    I always suggest comparing prices with other sites before booking any travel. Try this travel site to compare prices;

    I haven’t always found that to be true. I’ve also bought tickets directly from the airlines that were the same price as the on-line “discount” agencies
