Hey everyone, I’m in England right now and am planning to go to France during Christmas break this year. I was wondering is it a good idea to go there on my own or go there by booking a package tour from a local travel agency..Any trustworthy travel agencies? Like Thomson, Sta..??

If you have not booked a hotel room, or journey, yet, you have to hurry. Paris is popular and hotel rooms do sell out.
If you are happy to walk alone in a city you have not been yet, Paris is not a problem at all.
You can do a hop-on hop-off bus, which will bring you to all famous sights.
But besides you will have to find your own way to all. And specially at night it might be a bit daunting to go out alone.
Traveling with a tour you can chose beforehand how much is included, but remember that you will spend less time actually seeing things. It is safe, but less adventurous and likely more expensive.
For travel agencies, go to the office near where you live, or ask around and go to one that has a good name with your friends. They will be able to find you a tour fitting to who you are and how much you can pay.
If you book (anything) on internet, read the reviews.

How about 50/50. Go to a local travel agent and ask them to suggest a tour, then stay on a few days more and see what you want to see. You’ll be more acclimated to the city that way.
