Yeah, I live here, haven’t travelled by train that route though but I’ve done this by plane which is a faster and even cheaper way to do it. the flights are operated by various airlines but I think the cheapest one is Norwegian Air Shuttle: http://www.norwegian.no/sw7127.asp
I don’t know much about trains but you can check this page: http://www.sj.se/ which is a major national railway operator in Sweden and http://www.nsb.no/home/ which is a Norwegian national operator.
Well, I don’t know how many hours it could be by train but I think not much more than 5. but plane is faster and cheaper. Cheers!
update: answering the comment below, as a local I think there is really not much to see on the way from oslo to stockholm, at least- not going through by the really fast train, plus- long parts of the road can go underground for a really long time, as it is everywhere in Scandinavia, even Finland. I don’t know specifically this route but I’ve been around a lot and that’s how it is everywhere.

Yes, I think the train takes abt 5 hours, too. If you want to see something of the countryside, and just not being transported the train is much better, though…
