How much would it typically cost to go on vacation to Florida?

Question by Brittany H: How much would it typically cost to go on vacation to Florida?
Are there any good travel web sites i can visit for more info? I am looking into possibly going to universal studios and Disney world, and possibly the beach. And I am looking into staying down there for a week. What months are best to go down there?

Well its very difficult to put an answer. I would go on priceline or cheap tickets and look at some flight and hotel deals from wherever you are.

A week is actually not very long to see and do what you are asking to do. The theme parks realistically will each take one full day. Universal has two parks and Disney has four so that six days on it own. The closest beach is an hour drive from the theme parks so you would have to rent a car.

Now the time of year depends on you. If you want to go to the beach and swim in the ocean or gulf then you would want to come down in the summer anytime from end of May to mid october. That is when the water is warm enough for swimming. However, summer is really hot and crowded for the theme parks. If you were just going to do the theme parks I would come down when school is not in session. The first week of December is awesome because the crowds are nonexistant and the parks are all decked out for christmas and is absolutly magical. Do not come during any major holiday. The park is packed.

What you are asking to do can be three different vacations! The Beach is not close to the parks and each park can easily fill a day! There are four major Disney parks, two parks at Universal, SeaWorld and then a handful of water parks not to mention a ton of other things to do! If you want to go to the beach the summer months are prime but if you want to do Disney, the fall will be much less expensive and they even offer dining free. Universal Studios will also be less expensive in the fall not to mention the crowds will be minimal at all the parks and the weather still very warm. Hope this helps and if you would like help or more info email me, I am a disney travel planner! Have a great trip!

For Disney, the best month to come would be NOvember, it’s a lot cooler weather and not so packed at the park, however beach is better in the summer.
