I would think NY would be one place you would avoid.
Really, just anywhere really crowded in general!
NY is extremely crowded 24/7 365days/yr! There are quite a large amount of people that are diagnosed with the swine flu in NY and those are just known cases. The unknown cases of the flu is probably greater!
I heard many in NY are wearing masks and such. It’s totally understandable considering you’re within 1inch of each other everywhere you go! I am not going anywhere near NY for a long time!
I wouldn’t go. If you necessarily have to wear a mask, and wash your hands religiously. Especially if you are visiting Manhattan. It’s a pretty crowded city.
i wouldn’t go , but then again my dad works as a engineer so he was in manhattan yesterday and he wasn’t worried but then his shoulder started hurting, and i am really scared. but my aunt is going this saturday and just make sure if you do come try to stay safe and make sure you keep up to date with the yahoo articles. I hhope u have fun but safe
I, personally, would not travel to NY until more knowledge is learned.
I don’t live in New York, but I would say the cases of flu in NYC, from what I have heard are at this point pretty much confined to that one High School in Queens.
I don’t mean to belittle any concerns, this could be very bad. But people travel all the time during the peak of the normal flu season, for the holidays. It may occasionally stop some people from going somewhere, especially if they are sick, but the fact there is flu out there usually doesn’t stop people from traveling because of it.
Take precautions, carry sanitizer, wash your hands frequently, hopefully you will not be traveling with anybody with a bad cough, etc. I think on a plane you are at more risk of picking something up than after you are on the ground unless you walk into a full fledged flu epidemic.
Good Luck and bon voyage.
