I’m a beach person — the best places I have been include Sydney, Fiji, and St. Barthelemy… all beautiful!

In the Ozarks, you’ll find the Buffalo River. It’s a national river and you can float it on canoes. The scenery is the best I’ve ever seen. You can camp out in campgrounds, or rent a cabin. You’ll never feel closer to nature than when you’re there… It’s in Arkansas.
What may be the best for me may be totally wrong for you. However, I love scenic areas, with mountains and streams, and actually being above the clouds when you are looking out at the magnificent view. (I’ve seen on television, clouds below the planes) but to actually be standing at a lookout point, and seeing clouds below you is breathtaking. This picture is imbedded in my mind forever. Where to see this, you ask? The Smokey Mountains. I took my kids on a road trip to Pigeon Forge, Tn. and stayed there for a week. We traveled on down to Gatlinburg, then to Cherokee, N.C. We watched an indian jump off a cliff, and he landed in a freezing cold stream that was over 100 ft. below him. I thought he was nuts when I saw him way up there, because I was sure he’d break his neck, however, the spot where he jumped into was very deep. We also saw baby black bears, (we were warned not to roll down the windows, so we stayed in the van and watched as they rumaged through trash cans looking for food.) The people there are so warm and welcoming! I don’t think anyone there knows the meaning of the word “stranger!” They definately make you feel right at home. I could go on and on, but I think you get the drift! LOL!
If you are interested in India then the best places here are Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir and Assam for Nautural Beauties; Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Orissa for Traditional and Culture oriented visits. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Culcutta, Goa, and Hydrabad for Shopping. Agra for one of the seven wonders of the world, Taj Mahal. Goa, Cochi, Chennai, Vaisag, Kanyakumari, Pondichery, Mumbai and Culcutta for Beach. However, India is a beauty of all, mixed together. You can still find your interest anywhere you visit in India.
