What is its velocity at the end of this time?

Question by stop global warming!!!: What is its velocity at the end of this time?
A car traveling with an initial velocity of 12 m/s accelerates at a constant rate of 2.5m/s^2 for a time of 2 seconds.

a)What is its velocity at the end of this time?

b) what distance does the car travel during this process?

PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWER AND SHOW EVERY STEP PLUS EQUATIONS.

I’m really in need of help on physics and I’m trying as hard as I could to learn it. PLEASE HELP!

Velocity = original velocity + acceleration * time

distance = original distance+ original velocity * time
+ 1/2 acceleration * time ^2

original velocity= 12 m/s
original distance 0 meters
