Vacation Help & Tips (Kings Island & Days Inn Or Travel Lodge)?
Question by : Vacation Help & Tips (Kings Island & Days Inn Or Travel Lodge)?
My family is going on vacation soon to Kings Island. We will be riding in a van. It has 8 seats. We plan on taking My Father, Mother, Brother, Julia, Diamond, Chris, Kyle, my brother’s girlfriend Morgan and me. I have two save coupons and 4 tickets are free. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/ this link leads to the website. The ages of the people coming are 12, 12, 10, 9, 8, 19, 22, 48, and 48. We stay at travel lodge or days inn. How many hotel rooms should we need? Do we have enough room in the car? What will be the cost for tickets? what should we pack? And how much do you think the hotel rooms will cost? There will be 2 adults and 3 children in 1 room and 2 adults and 2 children in the other room. How many lockers should we need Adults will share with kids. Thanks for answering!!!

I would say you need at least 2 bedrooms and you want each bedroom to have 2 full or 2 queen size beds. One person will have to sleep on the floor.
As for the van, it will be a tight squeeze, but doable assuming everyone is of average size and weight.
You can go to places such as Kroger to see if they have coupons to get into King’s Island. Admission is over per person but children under a certain age get in at a lower price. Use the free passes for the adults to maximize savings.
As for which hotel, go to http://www.hotels.com and see which one is best.
What to pack will depend on your budget. Last time I was at King’s Island, we packed sandwiches in the car and ate there instead of the restaurants inside the amusement park. You are allowed to leave the park to go to your car. They just stamp your hand. You can keep everything in your van so you don’t need to rent a locker.
