Mendecino or Humbolt.
Both Stinson Beach and Half Moon Bay are less than 3 hours drive from El Dorado…probably the closest ocean beaches to you.
Stinson Beach has 3 1/2 miles of sand for swimmers, surfers, and sun bathers. It’s next to Point Reyes National Seashore with more than 70 miles of trails for hiking and biking weave through open pastures, rugged ridges, and coastal cliffs of the 70,000 acre wilderness area.
Half Moon Bay has scenic country roads, ocean panoramic views, 36 holes of championship golf and a driving range, deep sea fishing, horseback riding on the beach, and fields of glorious flowers.
SANTA CRUZ would be your next best bet with redwoods and mountains nearby. Santa Cruz County has 29 miles of beaches, 6 state parks and 6 state beaches. The weather is warm and the sun shines 300 days per year.
