If you fly non-stop from Vegas to NY it’s 5 hours. It could be longer if you take a connecting flight.

    The Air Force now has the Raptor which travels at Mach 10, which is roughly 6600 miles per hour. Since it is 2554 miles, that would be less than 1/2 hour, but for a commercial flight, traveling at roughly mach .8 (528 mph) it would take 5 hours in the air. Taxi, departure, and landing another hour. Figure maybe another 1/2 hour for baggage (or more). 6-7 hours.

    My itinerary says I’m leaving at 10:30 East Coast and arriving at 1:25 Pacific Coast so just under 6 hours.

    usually 5 hours one way. 6 hours the other way. non stop. too long, it would be great if it was faster.
