Some high-demand professional golfers like Tiger Woods are able to get an appearance fee at some tournaments over and above any prize money they win. The vast majority of professional golfers, however, either pay their own expenses or have a sponsor who pays it for them.

No.
Players are independent contractors and pay for their own travel expenses, lodging, etc. PGA Tour events will often supply courtesy (free) cars to players for the week to use for ground transport.
However, events like the John Deere (week prior to the Open Championship) will charter a flight to the UK from the closest major airport as an inducement to get players to play in their event.
They can usually deduct travel expenses on their taxes if that matters.
PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour events are forbidden from paying appearance fees. The European Tour will pay appearance fees.
