Do you have a favorite resort at Walt Disney World? Why do you like to stay at that resort?
Question by katy262000: Do you have a favorite resort at Walt Disney World? Why do you like to stay at that resort?
I am a travel agent specializing in Disney travel. I recommend Disney Resorts all the time based on which ones I think are the best but I am curious about what others think. Which is your all time favorite and why?

I love the Beach Club. To me its probably the best location (my favorite park is MGM/Hollywood Studios), it’s walking distance to Epcot, which has really good food, and you can take a boat to and from Hollywood Studios. Also it has a really nice pool. It has a water slide that’s a ship and a really nice hot tub. You can also buy pearl related jewelry, I got a necklace with a pearl on it with little diamond like dots. Also in the pool is sinking sand which is really fun when you get stuck.

I love:
Grand Floridian
Polynesian
BLT
Contemporary
Wilderness Lodge
Beach Club
Yacht Club
Boardwalk
Coronado Springs
Carribean Beach
Port Orleans French Quarter
Saratoga Springs
For staying on Disney property, you can not beat Caribbean Beach Resort. It is the best!
Personally, The Boardwalk Villas are the best! I’ve been to Disney 13 times, (In 4 days, it will be my 14th time) and I’d say about 7 of those times we’ve stayed at the Boarwalk hotel! My parents even bought imto Disney’s Vacation Club Members, and we bought into the Boardwalk because we love it so much! My favorite park is MGM (Yes, I know that now it’s called Hollywood Studios, but to me it will always be MGM) and it is about a 15 minute walk there, and a 5-10 minute walk to Epcot. Plus, there is the actual Boarkwalk right when you exit the hotel through the back, which is really convient if you want to eat, but don’t feel like going to a park. Plus, their pool has the awesome clown slide! (Keister Coaster) and the rooms are huge!
I love love love the Animal Kingdom Lodge! The theming is just perfect, to me it felt like i was actually in Africa. The gift shop is large and expansive and the lobby feels warm and inviting, especially the fireplace. They have African storytelling every night which was really entertaining and the various artwork all throughout the hotel is very interesting. The savannahs were almost always full of animals and those employees who are there to tell guests about the animals are actually from Africa and are seriously knowledgable and really really cool to see their perspective and their lives. my favorite was the mommy and baby giraffe
the pool is huge and conviently located next the counter service restuaraunt (really yummy food, especially African Stew) and 2 of the savannahs. I went with my family and we were even able to get a room with a bunkbed which was wonderful because i didnt have to share with my brother. Its also fairly close to pretty much all of the parks and water parks, the furthest thing was Typhoon Lagoon. It was amazing and I’d definately go back!
I love Pop Century.
For one, I’m not into spending a TON of money on a hotel room that I primarily sleep in. I’m in the parks from open to close, most of the time, and when I have a “day off” from the parks, I go to the pool, Downtown Disney, or other attractions.
I also love the decor, the brightness of it, the youthful energy of the place… It’s just cool. I get a kick out of the huge Big Wheel on the grounds… I used to have one of those. I also love Roger Rabbit. And the “bowling pin” pool.
I get a kick of all the stuff that they have on the walls in the Lobby… I remember SO MUCH of that stuff. It’s a way to relive my childhood, no matter how old I get.
I guess I’d love the expensive resorts like the Contemporary, but I just don’t have that kind of money to spend on a hotel room…
But, Pop Century is my favorite right now.
Port Orleans river side
My personal favorite is the Dolphin Hotel, its a really quiet and peaceful hotel without little kids running around that are soaking wet and half naked. My room had a great view of the lake, but it pretty much depends what side your room is on.

Staying in one of the two dozen Disney World hotels immerses you in the magic throughout your vacation. But which one is right for you? It was once much easier to decide; decades ago, there were only two Disney World hotels to choose from.
