Question by Eastside Guz: Vehicle crossing at Otay Mesa Road into Tijuana?
This is for persons who live in San Diego County or have recently crossed into Mexico from this port of entry. How was it when you crossed during the week? Is it alot less of a hassle than San Ysidro? (I have crossed into the U.S. back in November and it only took me and my wife a half hour). Do the Mexican officials just wave you through? I don’t need directions, I’ve already checked google, bing & mapquest like Charlie the rabbit (Mexico forum) says to do; so I just want your personal experience at crossing here into Mexico – was it quick and easy? This is an easy 10 points and will decide quickly ( I will be traveling with my wife on Wednesday or Thursday).

I have crossed at Tijuana, Otay and Tecate. Going into Mexico Otay is faster than TJ. Coming back, Tecate is really fast., but if you don’t want to go that far East, Otay is still better than TJ> Going in, they just wave you through. You will need your passport to get back, or passport card.
