Q&A: Indian cricket fans on Y/A: are you suffering from Internet outage due to the Mediterranean cable disaster?

Question by Idealist: Indian cricket fans on Y/A: are you suffering from Internet outage due to the Mediterranean cable disaster?
lol..I just came back after witnessing India’s humiliation in the youngest format of the game. I wasn’t able to access the Internet all this while and life seemed such a pain. Hopefully, things will be normal soon.

So coming to my second question: what do you think led to India’s present defeat? I heard Dhoni say this was just a “practice match” WOW. Was it a wrong decision to drop some of our most experienced batsmen in the middle of the tour. If not anything else, it did lead to some kind of psychological vacuum.

What is your funniest moment from this match? I think the occasion when both Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan went after the same dropped catch -and the expression on their faces when they realized the obvious blunder would qualify to be in the Guiness Book of World Records for amateurish schoolyard cricket. I mean I was laughing like 10 minutes that was the last thing you would expect from Indian national team. It was so embarrassing to watch this absurd event.

Iam not suffering from any internet outage. Iam residing in USA and so I dont know if there is an outage in India. But, whoever answers this dont have internet outage for sure :) lol

This India’s defeat in T20 was a little disappointing. 4 batsmen of the top 5 have just arrived in Australia, and it normally takes some time for any batsmen to get adjusted to the pitch and other conditions overseas. I think India made a mistake in trying to push the run rate a little too early. The first 4 overs saw India lose 4 wickets, and for me, the match was almost decided in the first 4 overs. But the credit should also be given to Aussie bowlers and their fielding was the best I have seen in recent times. But I wouldnt read too much into this match. This was just a first match for more than half of the team in the Aussie soil. I expect India to be much stronger in ODIs.

Funniest moment of the match for me was when Gilli was batting talking to commentators. Sreesanth had just bowled a bouncer to Gilly which Gilly missed. And after the delivery, Gilli said “Young Sreesanth is eyeballing me right now. He thinks Iam sledging him as Iam talking to you. Iam not good at that, mate” and laughs. That really made me laugh :)

But I think the drop catch was because Bhajji was unable to hear Pathan’s claim for the catch. I saw Bhajji gesturing that he was not able to hear Pathan’s voice as both were running for the catch. I dont blame anyone for that drop. In a stadium of 85,000 people its hard to hear everything crystal clear. I think that it was not such a bad and embarassing drop.

Yes. I was out of circulation for last 3 days almost.
Server limping back. Still slow, but much better.

It was terrible. Funny isn’t it. Lucky I did not witness it. It was overconfidence on the part of shall I say “small children”. I saw replays of those famous shots.
And Dhoni called it a practice game!

i have to be honest here for the sake of Indian fans that did not see the game
it was plain to see by the camera shot after the dropped catch with the crowd roaring they couldn’t here each others calls

every one believed the indian press when they said austrailia was against ponting and simmons
the crowd let them know they are lyers too

One loss doesnt mean that u r looser.

One victory doesnt mean that u r a winner.

to win something big u must have to loose something small.

    Let’s face it

    Teams win
    Teams lose
    Teams draw
    Teams tie…

but most of the time Australia are

    ‘In it to win it’

and India play not to lose,

but, the non-cricket related things were good.
