I am planning to travel to Mumbai, India during the summer of 2009. I’m really in love with India and Indian culture. I’d like some options for living arrangements that will be cheaper than hotel and still be safe. I would prefer to find something cheaper than a hotel because it would allow me to stay in Mumbai for at least 2-3 months.

As for anyone who might talk about visa issues, I already have a 10 year multiple entry tourist visa.

Try to find rental apartment for the 2-3 months you’ll be India, but make sure you have reliable people there in India to help you with this.
