Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim king? Where did the guy learn architecture, in the desert?

Question by renegade_husky: Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim king? Where did the guy learn architecture, in the desert?
He came to India as an invader from the desert.

There were no structures like that in any desert country in those days.

So who designed it for him?

He built for his wife who died some 300 km. away and was buried already in a small tomb (which still exists)

So did they rebury her there?

?????
You need a BRAIN.

You need history lessons!

It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Mughal Empire was founded by Zahir ud-din Muhammad Babur. He was a direct descendant of Timur through his father, and a descendant also of Genghis Khan through his mother.

Ustad Ahmad Lahauri is generally considered as the principal designer of Taj Mahal

Where did the desert come from?

You need history lessons as Affan correctly said. Shajahan was a mughal emperor and they came from your ancestors probably since your ancestors originally migrated to west from the middle east. shajahan was from old persia.
