should i go with the layover flight or direct flight? if layover which is the best place for layover? plz help. thx in advance.

I don’t believe there any direct flights from San Francisco to Delhi, which means you’ll have to connect.
Of the airlines that fly this route, my recommendation is Lufthansa. Their flights will connect in Frankfurt, which is a very efficient terminal with a very nice array of amenities. Lufthansa is a world-class airline that really emphasizes service: A critically important feature on a flight of such a long duration. I’ve flown them many times and always had good experiences.
