Question by CAL: About to book a 2 wk trip to India in Mid-Feb but I can’t decide btw Rajasthan and Shimla ?
I will be going on a tour in India in mid-Feb for about 15 days. I can’t decide between the below two tours. Any advice…I like the second one for the trekking options and being out in nature and away from some of the craziness…but I would love to see Rajasthan. It will be my first time to India.

Thanks!

If you don’t mind me asking, who are you booking through? Please compare this sight with who you’ve chosen, to see if you would save. To answer your question if you definetly are a person that loves nature then trip number two is for you, but if your really not a nature person then trip one, I would choose trip one, although nature is beautiful I admire it from behind a glass.

both the trips have their pro’s and cons.
I studied near Shimla. So if you are into the mountain scene, then shimla is the place for you. Rajasthan is very monotonous, but that’s just my opinion.

I highly recommend visiting Dhramsala and Dalhousie as both have a very rich Anglo background. Besides, the Dalai Lama also resides at Dhramshala.

hey you can cut few things from trip 1 and add shimla t it, well rajasthan is my all time favourite i just love that place for sand, palaces and luxuries, hotels are awesome and treat you royally, well the color in rajasthan is awesome i wouldn’t say it’s too clean but its small and lovely, it has enough nature in places like ranthambore , i wouldn’t say great for a trekking lover. yet there are two kind of people 1. who like india for good and bad both 2 who just can’t stand india. i’m the first one nomatter what i love india for everything for dust and dirt everywhere to the warm and welcoming people living in the country.
hope you have a nice time there
