Spirit Airlines: How to reach a live person in the U.S.?

Question by L Z: Spirit Airlines: How to reach a live person in the U.S.?
What a perfectly fitting name for an airline. They really are like ghosts and apparently they want everyone to think that they’re dead because they make it impossible to reach them. The only live people available to are their reservation agents in India who swear they have no contact with the U.S. whatsoever. Apparently all they can do is take reservations. Their website doesn’t even have a “Contact Us” section; just a littany of check-off options for their various screw ups, i.e. “if we lost your luggage”…”if our staff was utterly inept”…”if you want your money back,” etc. I think I would have better luck walking into a closet in hopes of travelling to Narnia than I do of reaching a live person at Spirit Airlines. If anyone knows how to break the barrier between the executive offices of Spirit Airlines and the rest of the world, then please let me know.

Spirit Airlines 800-772-7117

Try that. It’s the only number that I have in my “rolodex” of airline phone numbers. I used to commute on them all the time. It’s been about three years since I’ve flown on them, but I agree, they are a HORRIBLE carrier to fly on. But not being able to be contacted easily is what allows you to get those super cheap air fares!

    Try this.

Phone them. You will get an automated message saying press 1 for this, press 2 for that etc. Press nothing.

It will time out, and take you to a second page where you will get a similar scenario. Again press nothing.

Eventually you will run out of pages and you should default to a human.

Note that pressing any key will stop the process, and defeat your attempt. You will need to be patient.

Good luck finding someone talking to in the US. I went through the same problems and it was a hell of a problem to talk to someone in the US. By the way their agents are in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines.

The phone number is 800 772-7117. You can also contact them through email through their web site go to about on the the top of the page. Click on contact us on the right hand side and a bunch of questions will appear. If any of the questions apply to your situation click on it, if not type in phone number under search and a Second tab will appear. Click on the tap and you will be able to email them with your question. When you call ask your question directly don’t give them time to not here the question. You might have to go through a bunch of people but ask for the supervisor. Be persistent, you will get an answer. I had no problem getting answers to my questions last June and they were very helpful with taking off a seat charge that was not suppose to be there.
