What Would u do in this situation? (personal)?

Question by superbad818: What Would u do in this situation? (personal)?
Ok so living in los angeles the Dodgers have always been in my life in one way or another… but I didnt really start to follow them until the 06 season and needless to say Ive fallen in love with baseball.

Well anyways, I have a chance to go to India this summer (punjab to be more precise) but the only thing is that this trip will interfere with my chance to see the Dodgers vs Yankees series.

I know it may sound reallly stupid that I would miss out on a chance to travel just to go to 2 or 3 ball games, but the Dodgers almost never get this caliber of opponents in their stadium (im talking about AL opponents) and yeah I really want to see this series.

So with this in mind what would u do? Is it stupid to miss out on this opportunity for a baseball game?
(just insert ur favorite team and destination if youre not a fan of the dodgers or India lol)
Oh one more thing…. Ive never been to India before…

If it was me, I would stay and see the games. I am not a fan of India and wouldn’t travel there. But realistically you should go to India. Which one of your choices is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I would like to see it too…but I can’t. I would definitely go to India…you are not talking about a World Series.

It’s a no brainer because the baseball game will happen again..some time.

I’d stay and watch the series. You never know, a perfect game might get thrown, maybe a player hits 5 homers in game, or something else historical. Probably not, but you never know.

India you can likely always visit later.

You really have to think about which one you want more. I’m actually in India right now for a few months, and I was reluctant to come. One thing my dad HAD to promise to make me go was that I would definitely be back in time for baseball season, and that we’ll go to a game of the Red Sox-Yankees opening series. If this trip has happened to coincide with the baseball season, I probably would have flat-out refused to come, just because baseball is such a huge part of my life and I wouldn’t be able to handle not getting to watch games.

The Dodgers may not play the Yankees again for who knows who long, but there will be other exciting games. Do you already have tickets to the game, like is it set in stone already? Maybe you could somehow plan your trip so that you leave after the game or get back before it. I understand your point, because it should be a great series, but the trip to India is also a once-in-a-chance lifetime. Who knows when it’ll happen again?

I’d stay, to be honest. I do any traveling in the off-season so as not to interfere with baseball. That may be ridiculous, but I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my trip knowing I’d have to muscle through a backlog of a week or more worth of games on my TiVo as soon as I got back.

Go to India. You won’t regret it.

  8. Judge Ghis says:

The first thing you need to consider is whether you like the current Yankees roster. If not, then go to India.

Let’s assume for the sake of argument that you like the current Yankees roster (which would not endear you to me on a personal level, but I can respect your opinion). The next thing you need to consider is whether this trip to India is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you’ll have another chance to go to India, then stay in L.A. for the Dodgers-Yankees series.

Again for the sake of argument, let’s assume that this trip to India is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The final thing you need to consider is how badly you want to go to India and how badly you want to see the Dodgers-Yankees series. I know it’s not an easy decision, but I also know it’s not a decision I can make for you.

Don’t skip traveling for a baseball game. There are plenty of baseball games to see and not many chances to go on a trip to India.

Watching the Yankees isn’t that much different from watching the Angels.

    I’d go to India,

You can’t get that level of air, water and food contamination in LA.
You think you’re going to experience travelers diarrhea by eating Dodger Dogs?

The Dodgers play the AL east every three years. How often do you get a chance to wake up and first thing in the morning get a whiff of what has to be the worst body odor on the planet. You gots to go to India man!

I am a big Cardinals fan and have been with them in good years and bad years since 1957. I would go to India. It may be a once in a lifetime chance. There will be many more chances to go to baseball games and eventually the Yankees will against play the Dodgers in LA. I would take the trip to India
