Question by RAHUL ROCKSS: Chappell criticises BCCI officials…comments….?
Former India coach Greg Chappell on Saturday took potshots at Indian Cricket Board officials for raising a hue and cry over Rajasthan Cricket Association providing its state-of-the-art facilities to the visiting Australian team, saying the game of cricket is all about sharing.

BCCI CAO Ratnakar Shetty had slammed the RCA for obliging too much to the Australians, though, the state association chief Lalit Modi did not see anything wrong in opening the doors of state-of-the-art Future Cricket Academy to the visiting team.

Do you agree with the BCCI…??coz, I don’t

cheers :)

Answer by Ben
Yes, it provides Australians with an advantage. Reportedly RCA has the best training facilities in India.

These kind of hospitality is not shown to any touring team by any host country.

But, after CA has said they are ready to return the favour, it should not be made an issue.

What do you think? Answer below!

    I don’t either.
At the same time I do not think we need to bend over backwards to allow Greg C to do as say what he likes. He seems to be taking it too far; ref. his comments to NDTV about how he planned to help Aussies.
There is no need for him to comment on the internal affairs of Indian cricket.
He is MERELY a coach of Rajasthan Cricket, and should remain ONLY that.

The BCCI and Shetty shouldn’t need to worry. Guests should be treated like dieties. The only time when they should be complaining is when India tours Australia and the Indian team isn’t provided ‘state-of-the-art’ facilities.

That is bad for Chappel to speak about his earlier associations

Well i dont agree with the BCCI at all
they have all gone mad yaar first i thought only pawar and vengs were mad but now looks like the whole board is full of nutcases!!!
They shouldn’t be having a problem with the aussies being facilitated…when the board expects our boys to be treated well wen we go overseas then they should do the dame with our guests
so BCCI is now making a big fool of itself by crying fowl over such stupid things

  6. Scott says:

Lalit Modi doesnt give two shi*s about indian cricket, all he cares about his making as much money as possible, like the useless IPL, and then boast about what he has got.

Anyway, i do agree with the BCCI, that the homeadvantage is being slowly lost very quickly. the australian team is going to play 2 practise matches and australia has been sending Australia A to india fro about 2 months before the tour even begins. The BCCI however has no right to be complaining and whinning though and just seems pathetic.

Its just that the Australian Board cares more about winning and getting the most suitable team to play and get the most practise, so australia wins. The australian board also really lookafters there players, unlike india.

The BCCI on the other hand sent there player to australia in 2007, 9 days before the first test match, with just 1 practise game. The BCCI just cares about shoving as much cricket as possible in the time frame, to make as much money as possible.

THE BCCI is a money hungry organisation.

Chappel justly criticized BCCI CAO Rankar Shetty because he was acting narrow-minded and his statement was childish.
